- This community is dedicated to a genre of fiction. As far as I know, this genre doesn't have a name. I see it as the pirate equivalent of the Weird West genre. That is, stories set during the golden age of piracy but with supernatural elements. So pirates facing skeletons, ghosts, zombies, and the kraken. For lack of a better name, I'm calling it **Dark Fantasy Pirates**. I know there aren't many works in this genre but I'm still going to document the few I find. See also: !weirdwest@lemmy.zip
